Stronger communities start with preparation, connection, and coordination.
We’re rolling out FREE local workshops across Cook Shire, Hope Vale, and Wujal Wujal to help: ✅ Individuals prepare for disasters ✅ Organisations stay open during emergencies ✅ Communities work better together when it matters most
This partnership—delivered by Cooktown District Community Centre in collaboration with local councils, community organisations, and disaster networks—is all about making sure no one is left behind.
Tonight, people across Australia will join together to light up the night for Kumanjayi Little Baby 💜🩷
Every child in Australia deserves to grow up safe, happy and free. We will never forget this beautiful little girl whose future was taken away from her, and her family who never deserved to carry this grief.
Tonight, Thursday 7th May at 6pm: 🕯️Light a candle or leave a porch light on 🩷 Wear pink in her memory 🌅 Take a moment of silence in honour of Kumanjayi Little Baby.
SNAICC-National Voice for our Children is raising funds to support Kumanjayi Little Baby's family. You can donate via their website, please include a note in the message field (e.g. For Kumanjayi Little Baby). www.snaicc.org.au/get-involved/make-a-donation/
